FF-EPS ETICS is a product designed as a base for plastering, it is aged before leaving the factory and has additional features that make it an optimal base for thin plastering. Weather compatibility stress tests have been performed on FF-EPS ETICS insulation with (among others) Alsecco and STO products at Tampere Technical University (TTU). The raw material for gray FF-EPS contains graphite, and has a thermal conductivity of λDeclared 0.031 W/mK, which is noticeably less efficient than traditional white EPS.

The plates have tongue and groove edges on all sides. The size of the plates is 600 x 1200 mm, which makes handling and installing them considerably easier. The short-term compressive strength of FF-EPS ETICS boards is 80 kPa. FF-EPS ETICS products contain fire-retardant material which gives them a fire rating of E.
